Members of the Timothy J. Maude Assembly held its annual Memorial Mass on Thursday, October 23 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church in Carmel.
Most. Rev. Timothy L. Doherty, Bishop of the Lafayette Diocese was the celebrant. Each year, the Timothy J. Maude Assembly honors the deceased Brother Sir Knights of the Assembly.
This year, the families of the Sir Knight Stephen J. Pieper, Sir Knight Louis A. Oritzand and Sir Knight George K. Hedrcik were presented chalice plaques following mass.
A reception was held afterwards.
The Honor Guard participated in the mass at St. Athanasisus Byzantine Catholic Church on the west side of Indianapolis on October 5. After mass, the Honor Guard help present and raise a new American Flag that was donated to the parish in recognition of Fr. Bryan's con-celebration of Mass with Bishop Doherty at the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Exemplification in March.

This is an honor to be invited to present Colors at this State High School event. Catholic High Schools from all over Indiana will be attending and this is an excellent opportunity for the Knights of Columbus to be seen in Regalia.
We have been invited to provide escorts for WWII Veterans at a Recognition Banquet in their honor. These men and women gave their talents to defeat our enemies in WWII. Now it's our turn to show our gratitude.

What: You and your spouse will escort a WWII Veteran
and their spouse from their home to the
Banquet, dine at their table, assist when
needed and return them to their home.
Your dinner and your spouses dinner are complimentary. All that's asked is you pay special attention to your WWII Veteran guest for the evening. Some of the Veterans may need or appreciate assistance with refreshments, dining and getting to and from the Banquet.

The Speaker will be Father Dennis Robinson, President Rector of St. Meinrad Seminary. Father Robinson completed a study of the holocaust and WWII. He will explain why WWII is pivotal in shaping our world today.

If you know of a WWII Veteran in the Indianapolis area that would enjoy attending a Banquet in his or her honor, please contact Jim. This is the 6th Annual WWII Recognition Dinner. Last year 35 Veterans (men and women) and their spouses were honored and the total attendance was 150. Reservations are required and WWII Vets, their guests and their families are given priority to the limited seating.
This is not a Knights of Columbus, St. Alponsus or Catholic event. This is a public event. Although much of the volunteer effort is provided by the Knights, this event is funded by a private benefactor.
